Anne Olea Svensson Hegre

Hi, I'm Anne Olea

A Norwegian who now calls Berlin home, I proudly began my career on my family’s farm, where I gained both a farmer’s work ethic and a strong aversion to unnecessary fluff. Since relocating to Berlin in 2017, I’ve been designing digital experiences with a focus on usability, research, and collaboration. I currently live here with my husband and our ever-curious dog, Boo.

My path to UX design started with a passion for engineering and technology, leading me to earn a degree in HVAC engineering. However, I quickly realized that my real passion lay in designing intuitive, user-centered digital products. Since then, I’ve worked on a variety of projects, from conducting in-depth UX/UI audits to leading the creation of a company-wide research repository, making user insights more accessible and actionable across teams.

With a strong technical foundation and experience in cross-functional collaboration, I excel at bridging the gap between design, development, and business strategy. My approach combines structured research, problem-solving, and iterative design, ensuring that user needs are not only met but drive meaningful product improvements.

Currently, I focus on creating seamless user experiences for digital products, but I remain fascinated by emerging technologies like XR and spatial interaction design. No matter the medium, my goal is to design products that are not only functional but genuinely improve the way people interact with technology.‍
